Can you work with insurance held inside my retail or industry superannuation fund?

Generally, no. Most retail and industry super funds typically provide group insurance, which does not pay ongoing commissions.

However, insurance owned through an SMSF may be eligible. As a general guide, if your insurance policy shares the same account number as your super fund, it is unlikely that ongoing commissions apply.
